I have had the worse luck with portable DVD players. I went through 3 Minteks in less then a year and then tried a Craig brand which turned out to be not much better. quit working after less than 4 months
purchased this dvd player as a gift for my daughter for christmas. on april 11th it quit working. exactly 1 month 1 day after warranty expired per the date on the receipt. she didn't actually start using it until december 25 of 2005. the player started saying "no disc" for every disc we put in. we... Don't waste your time or money
I bought this player and ended up returning it one week later! It did not work properly from day one. I was thankful that the store had a 15 day return policy.
I think that this player is listed as not available, but the Walmart has lots of them in stock as of today.

Cheap..but doesn't last forever
