A Great First Computer

Pros Almost Everything
Cons Minor Problems with Fans
Recommended it? Yes
I put this is my "Love IT" catergory because I don't have too many other computers to compare it to.
I got my E-Machine about 6 months ago. It's actually not been a bad machine at all. This is actually my first new computer. And for the most part it's been a great piece of machinery. I have had minor modem problems and the fan loves to make a lot of noise for me every once in a while, but other than that, this computer has turned out to be pretty good.
It automatically comes with Windows 98 and Microsoft Works on it. It has 32 MB of Ram and I have not used anything near it, even with all the programs I have going.
I got this computer at Microcenter with that deal where you buy their internet service for 3 years and you get a coupon for $400 and another rebate coupon for $50. I basically got my E-machine for $25. It came with everything but the printer and monitor. It was easy to set up, easy to get going, it came with a lot of disk that were self-explainatory, and easy to read books on the E-machine. Tech Support is about the same as any other companies, you do have to pay to have tech support. I know I just got my E-machine 6 months ago and I am already outdated, but that seems to happen no matter what machine you get. This is a great deal for people looking for a decent "first computer" for their family. I would recommend this product to my friends and family.
