A few months ago I decided it was time to purchase another machine strictly for writing my programs at home. Since we had recently purchased a few e-machines at work and they really seemed to have everything I needed including a low price tag, I felt confident that an e-machine would do the job. I was really happy with the performance of this new machine and had actually planned on purchasing 2-3 more for clients.
On July 3, the power supply went on my e-machine, but, not to worry...it was only 3 months old and still under warranty. I called e-machine on July 4 (24/7) and was told they would ship me a new power supply and I should probably receive it within a week.
A week went by,(in the meantime I cannot access my hard drive to do any work) I called e-machine again to make sure my order had been shipped. At this time I was told that they were on back order but were expected in 2-3 days.
I waited....and on July 21, I again called e-machine. This time I was told that they were backed up and had moved their warehouse and could not give me any time frame as to when it would even be shipped or even if they had it in stock.
It is now July 27, and guess what? No power supply...I wonder what they will tell me when I call this time? And by the way..we just lost 2 e-machines at work due to bad power supply. I am really glad that I didn't purchase these e-machines for my clients. It would have been bad for business.
