eMachines etower 366c PC Desktop

I purchased an emachine system in Sept. of 1999. Now, 5 months later I am on my 3 rd modem. The first time my modem went bad was only 3 weeks after I purchased the hunk of junk. It took Emachines over 1 MONTH to send me a replacement modem. That replacement only lasted 3 months before it went to garbage. The "kicker" of it all is that I called tech. support about the 2nd modem, and they told me I had to pay them $20 to diagnose the modem was bad. I could go to Stapels, and buy a compatible modem for this system for $25 and have it same day- (which is what I did) After several phone calls to their Tech. support office (which is another joke) I got no where with them replacing it without me having to shell out money. I asked them for their corporate headquartes phone number, and they DIDNT have it!! I find this very hard to believe. The computer was a great deal, but the headaches aren't worth it!!!
