Pros Inexpensive, easy to use, state of the art. BIG SCREEN: Use your laptop.
Cons Laptop is too heavy, too big for pilots, use with Garmin Street Pilot C320
Recommended it? Yes

Update Oct 2011: I use the Garmin Street Pilot every day, it is great. But the DeLorme has so much more to offer, because of the big display on your computer. You find things you never knew existed, such as streets and easements. Best to use both Garmin and DeLorme.

Update Aug 2009: I have a... Read full review »

Cons Software interface, poor documentation, map data inaccuracies.

While searching for the best price on my new notebook computer, I happened onto the Delorme GPS Earthmate. The price of $99 dollars seemed too good to be true. I have gambled with a lot more so I ordered it, along with my computer, from PC Mall.

The new toys arrived at my office and I... Read full review »

I had been considering a GPS system for a couple years. I am an avowed map fanatic, and I love looking at maps and knowing where I am in the world. So I purchased this package, harboring a little bit of doubt, since I had really hoped to find a GPS receiver for this price that was compatible with... Read full review »

I have never used GPS before and today was my first try. I went in a passenger seat of my car with laptop and Earthman GPS attached to its USB port. I initially purchased the Delorme 2006 GPS package in late 2005.
I use it for business, I am an emergency service electrician.
I cover the north Seattle area, so these issues are in a major city setting, which you would think would be well mapped out.
I have a laptop mounted in my... Read full review »

Okay.. I had been contemplating buying the GPS for 3/4 months and checked out numerous sites and reviews for many GPS solutions. One of the thing I was kinda hoping to find in the solution was that it should be able to work with both laptop and PDA. Most of the more popular softwares require a lot... Read full review »

Cons User interface is unlike most Windows products. Lack of "how-to" documentation.

This is the bundle with the 2006 Street Atlas software. There seem to have been significant improvements over the 2005 software, which is still being sold in various outlets in June, 2006.

I've been interested in GPS since I first heard about it, but the price has always been too high to... Read full review »

Pros Portable, seems rugged. Better for hikers, sailors, etc. Great software!
Cons Small NON touch screen, no support for Mac; poor choice for Auto use.
Recommended it? Yes

I was given a PN-20 for Christmas, and I have to say that it is a very useful and well designed product. My biggest complaint about it is that the screen size is inadequate to be used while driving. It is also just a bit slow to draw maps when panning or browsing. If you still want to give this... Read full review »

I was going to hit the road with some friends to Columbus Ohio from Massachusetts. My wife and I went to CompUSA to look at GPS receivers.
