The Bottom Line:
I definitely recommend buying this, especially if you are looking to upgrade from an existing Eclipse product.
Alright, here's a general review to begin with. I have had this CD deck for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it! There are a lot of options to customize the sound that you get from your speakers such as the standard high, mid, and lows as well as crossfading, loudness, and other options. I have it connected to the factory speakers in my '99 Ford Ranger and it makes them sound amazing! The interface is very intuitive and easy to use. I do wish that the LCD screen would go a bit brighter though. During mid-day when the sun is very bright it sometimes has a glare that makes it hard to read. The text is also very small in some points, so if your vision isn't great you may have a hard time reading it.
I bought this deck to upgrade from my older Eclipse deck I got back in 2004. I was looking for one that had bluetooth and auxiliary inputs. I was very impressed with my last Eclipse so naturally I went to them first. I discovered this deck on their website and it fit the bill perfectly. It was a great price for all that it comes with. The installation was a breeze, it used the exact same hardware as my previous deck, so all I had to do was unplug the old one and plug the new one in. No wiring changes or anything. One of the greatest things about Eclipse is how easy it is to upgrade.
This deck is one of the best CD decks I have ever used. The different sources it has (CD, USB, Aux, BT, etc.) are all easy to switch between and have a nice pretty animation to let you know which you are on. The quality is simply amazing. I haven't heard another deck that produces such good quality with the plain jane factory speakers that Ford ships out. It sounds better than the speakers that some of my friends have paid hundreds for. The deck really does make a difference! I could go on and on about all the different features and things, but it would probably be more effective for you to check out the eclipse website.

Cons of this deck...there aren't too many. The aux inputs and the USB input both come from the back of the deck, so to get them to be accessible from the front you must cut a hole in your dashboard. As I mentioned before, the LCD screen is a bit bright during bright sunlight and the text is small. It doesn't generally cause a lot of problems though, and of course I have to recommend that you don't change settings and such things while you are driving. Please save that for parking lots or in your driveway. I don't have problems with the directional pad in the center of the volume wheel, but it gives my girlfriend a lot of trouble. Apparently some people have difficulty pushing the d-pad in only one direction at a time, which makes it difficult to adjust the radio station or change settings. This may or may not be a big deal for you though. I have large hands and fingers but it doesn't affect me.
