The Bottom Line:
If you are looking to replace that overweight CRT with something a bit more svelte with little sacrifice in quality, this monitor will do it.
Space is a premium in my little apartment, and I wanted a monitor that would do the job of a decent CRT without taking up a huge amount of space. After alot of research, this monitor seemed to be the only one that would do the job. I was generally disappointed by the display quality of most LCD's in stores (except the Apple Studio Display), so I was weary of going the LCD route. This monitor exceeded my expectations. Using the DVI connection (haven't tried analog), the clarity and color depth is better than most midrange CRT's. I don't play many video games, but the response time is good and ghosting on fast-moving video is negligable. The sRGB compliance is great if you have an sRGB-enabled printer for color matching. I understand that Planar and Sharp have similar products now, so you may want to check those out, too. It definitely outclasses the $300-500 LCDs that I've seen, with quality arguably as good or better than Apple's Studio Display series. Overall, this monitor will satisfy all but the most discerning needs. Worth the extra $$$.
