My Epson CX5400 failed after 3 years of use. It no longer recognizes the Epson brand ink cartridges. So, I decided to upgrade to the CX8400 since it was a reasonable price. (I paid $79.99.)

OMG! Epson should be ashamed!
I have been a loyal Epson printer user for many many years...yes, they are noisy, but they print great quality photos and documents.
