Great projector at a great price
Pros
Excellent picture even with short throw distance, very good color, excellent lens shift, intuitive use.
Cons
Default settings do need to be tweaked and the lamp needs burn in time.

I've been using this projector for about three weeks, for movies, gaming, and TV from about a 12' throw distance projecting onto an Elite ezFrame High Contrast Gray Screen. It's extremely intuitive and highly configurable, and the picture is beautiful, even with some ambient light. At first, the colors were a little hypersaturated, but now that the lamp has had some time to burn in, the colors are much more natural.
It has an extraordinary lens shift capability, and the picture is sharp and clear. The fan is very quiet; much quieter than any of the other four projector fans I've been exposed to.
Unsurprisingly, the picture for both PC and games is much better when run through a receiver than when they're directly plugged into the projector.
This is the first sub-$3000 projector that supports 1080p, and there are often sales and rebates when you order directly through epson.com. I managed to catch a 10% off sale combined with a $299 rebate and got mine for $2300.
