OK..but it ain't no Valentine V1

Good for some, not for all
I bought this radar detector from Sharper Image, and it works great. I was not to crazy about the fact that it is cordless. Being cordless the signal gets week with the battery life. Let me down! Choose something else.
I had the unit for 6 months. It completely failed to detect a radar trap on I95 in Virginia. Expensive ticket and nasty consequences. The range seems very limited, i.e., I could visually spot Loss Enforcement about the same time it would beep. Not real useful as a warning device!!
