The Bottom Line:
For the price I would recommend to travelers who only travel occasionally and people who are used to using technical devices.
I purchased my finedrive 350 9 months ago after Thanksgiving. I work in outside sales so I've had to use it to find job sites often. I take long road trips about 4 or 5 times a year.
I live that it has extra features like picture viewer and an mp3 player. It also comes with a leather cover, car charger and house charger in the box. It has come in handy on long trips and I haven't had any major direction issues while using it.
Finedrive works ok but that's if it's working. It has locked up on my about 5 times causing me to have to reset it. Whenever the battery goes dead you have to reset it, it won't turn on. The map card is outdated, I've realized this while driving in newer developed areas. I've tried to find a way to purchase a new SD card from Navteq or Finedrive with no luck. Finedrive's web site operates as if it's been abandonded so it's hard to get any information from that. The sound is also very low and hard to hear in certain areas. There is also a glare on the screen when you're driving into the sun. When this happens I have to rely on the sound but since the sound is low you end up having to try hard to hear the 2nd last second announcement of a turn.
