Sanyo FVH-T669S VCR

I bought this VCR because it was very cheap. I found it on sale for $125. For a hi-fi 4-head VCR this isn't bad, so I figured it would have a lack of features and poor build quality. NOT SO! The VCR has a beautiful display that tells you everything from the count to the type of audio you are listening to. All the functions are lit up and are easy to access, and even the remote is of top quality with a sweet knob for setting play speed and direction. There is a perfect quality slow motion and still, and then there is double speed and fast forward, and high speed rewind. Best of all, you can actually hear the movie when you are fast forwarding or rewinding. This is really cool. It takes sound samples every couple of seconds and plays them as you are fast forwarding so you can actually "catch up" in a movie or just review scenes if you want. The recording is just a nice, with a little button on the rmote that you can press during commercials and at the end, so that the VCR just skips through them next time you watch the tape. While it can't find the commercials itself, it's still a good feature. It can also log where different programs are on a particular tape, so you can just fast forward to the next program or movie.
Overall, the Fischer is a solid VCR for an incredibly low price, and has enough features to keep you busy for a while.
