Deciding that I was going to take an interest in video and video editing was something that came extremely easy. I simply decided that I wanted to get a decent camcorder one day to test the waters. Going into the store with just 200 dollars I was expecting to walk out with a piece of junk camcorder that I would be unhappy with in the upcoming months. When in front of so many different options though, the price varies between cameras for all kinds of different reasons. Some cameras record high quality and length, some cameras are portable, and then there are the cameras that are out of the realm of possibility for most of the average shoppers. Well despite all the confusion, the Flip UltraHD seemed to catch my eye for some reason. I don't know whether it was the fine black finish with chrome lineing, the nice and easily visible LCD screen, or the fact that this camera fits perfectly in my hand. Whatever the reason was, I was excited and knew that this was the camcorder I wanted.

From day one with the Flip UltraHD I was constantly messing with it and recording random things to test the quality and specs. The camera records stunning HD quality video that seemed to impress everyone that I showed it to, and for the price of 200 dollars it seemed as thought it were a steal. Enjoying it day after day was fun, but when it came time to edit on my computer, it just couldn't get easier! I mean, the camera has a built in USB stick, its own rechargeable batteries, and the editing program is built into it. Plug, edit, and post to the internet within minutes. This camcorder makes everything simple and almost seems as though it was made for a toddler to start filming. If you are interested in starting something along the lines of video editing/recording I recommend this camcorder for you.
