I received the the Fuji 290 zoom date camera as a gift a year ago and absolutely love it! Since I have two young children and a home-based scrapbooking business, I take LOTS of pictures - about two rolls of film per month - and have never had a problem with pictures taken with this camera.
The camera came with a carrying case and a 'remote' button so I can even be in the pictures now! There are different flash features, a timer, a date/time option and you can also put it atop a tripod. A focus feature of the Fuji 290 zoom helps to keep your subjects in focus - you center on the subject, press the button halfway down, and then you can off-center the subject while keeping the focus where it belongs.
I love the portability of the camera, the ease of use - my 7 year old can take great pictures too - and the reliability of the Fuji compared to some brands I've owned in the past. I'd recommend this camera to everyone - novice to professional to picture-snapping fanatics like myself!
