I use this scanner at work and scan approximately 100 documents a day. I've been use the scanner for about just under a year and have had no problems.
It's easy. I just put my documents in the feeder and press the scan button. Then I create my adobe file.
Its fast. You can adjust the resolution. So the better the resolution, the slower it goes. But even on the lowest setting, using B&W the image is fine. It has the option of scanning in color. It can also scan double sided.
Since I did not purchase it don't know the price, but was told it was around $300
