Love this scanner. Gets the job done.

Pros Simple to use, works well.
Cons None.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  A versatile, easy to use scanner.
After determining that scanning a large group of documents, such as invoices and repair orders, and making them available on our intranet would make life easier and save time, we chose the S500. It has turned out to be a wise choice. We have put this unit through its paces in the last 4 weeks. We are currently going backwards to bring all of these documents on line. Removing all the old staples has turned out to be the hardest part of the job. The S500 has handled the job well, the few jams that occur are usually our fault because papers are still stapled or edges ruffled. Clearing a jam is easy and fast. We are scanning different sizes and textures of paper without trouble. The scanning of both sides of a page at once works flawlessly. The interface is perfect for our project. First you press the big "scan" button and then type in the invoice number on the computer screen to name the file and then the pdf thumbnail appears in the project manager window. Again, quick and easy. We also use the S500 to scan a few photos for intranet usage, while I would not consider the photo scans commercial quality.. it certainly serves our purpose.
