Worth the 79.99...
My husband and I decided a few months ago to purchase a new VCR after the children finally worn out the one in the living room. We went out to Circuit City in Charlotte to look around. We knew we wanted a name brand (Magnavox) 4 head/stereo unit. It also needed to have the controls to operate...

GEE Cheap G.E.
I remember when my dad bought our first family VCR. It was big & heavy & hard to figure out how to program. I think the clock flashed 12:00 for 10 years. This was in the early 80?s when it was considered the new hot thing. If I remember right it cost about $800.00 on sale at Sears. Boy has the times... At first, I was pretty doubtful about this VCR. The price was phenomenally low ($79) for a 4 head HI-FIDELITY...

you get what you pay for
I saw this GE HiFi VCR for just $65 new and I thought it was a bargain. At least for that moment until I played a movie. The picture quality is not good at all. It doesn't seem like a 4-head vcr. The sound is okay. Fast forwarding and rewinding is really noisy relative to other vcrs. If someone... Read full review »
