GPX Personal CD Player
Pros
Comfortable headphones, anti-skip protection
Cons
Color changing face plates are a nuisance
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this CD player to people who do a lot of moving while using it as it has wonderful anti-skip protection.
Out of the two personal CD players we have, this one is the one I have mixed feelings for. The way it's made is amazing as it allows you to change the face plate color by detaching the one that's currently on it and replacing it with one of the different color face plates that are included with it. According to the box it came in and the instruction manual, all you have to do is detach the face plate and reattach the new color of your choice by sliding it into the holes and snapping it in. Sounds simple, right? Well, it isn't. Not in the slightest. It looks simple enough, yes. But when you actually try to fix it with a different color, the face plate won't seem to stay where you want it and if you do get it attached, one sudden movement knocks it off.
Other than that little inconvenience, this CD player is actually quite good. It has anti-skip protection which is great when you jog like I do and love to listen to music while you're doing it. The headphones that come with this personal CD player are also great. They don't hurt my ears like most headphones. I say this because you can leave them on a long time without them making your ears raw and they also have softer cushions than I've ever seen on a pair of headphones and you can also change the color on them to match the color you choose for the face plate and the colors on the headphones actually stay on.
So if you're looking for a good CD player, this one is okay as long as you don't buy it for the color changing face plates because that's the only part of this CD player that puts a stain on the rest of the package.
