Great portable DVD player
We just purchased this portable DVD player in anticipation of a long car trip to Disney. I looked around at many different models at various prices, but decided to bite the bullet and give this one a chance, based on online reviews.

Gpx's lack of service and answering e-mails
Picture is OK, but extra battery's are needed as they are weak and do last long. I have found out that it is not the neat little dvd player that the review's had said. Nice unit
I love this little player. It fits nicely in a travel bag and is easy to use. I have watched movies in my car, on the patio, in bed and at the park. It should work nicely on my next fishing trip.
I actually bought another brand and took it back when I found this one. This one was only $10...

GPX PDL 805
Picture quality is ok not Great; but the sound is terrible.It sounds just like an old cassette tape (lots and lots of hiss) and when I used head phones, it was even worse.This is totally intolerable for any 2007 brand new dvd player.The dvd I used was brand new, so it rules out dvd quality. won't play PAL, contrary to product description
Good picture and sound quality. Very disappointed that it won't play PAL despite what the manufacturer claims ("NTSC/PAL compatible and switchable"). Glad at least the power source is suitable for travel to Europe. Read full review »
