XM weather useless to mariners
Have had the unit and xm weather for over a month. I purchased it primarily for wind information as I do alot of sailing. More than I could've hoped for.
I've used this unit for over a year now. I continue to be amazed. Yes, it's a little pricey, but NO OTHER PRODUCT ON THE MARKET comes close to the accuracy and features this does. Bad Product description
From the description, product should be great. Garmin never mentions directly that you must purchase the maps specifically custom tailored to you area for unit to be useful.
