Great little hard drive!
Pros
durability, software, mac friendly
Cons
speed
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Great product, cool design, easy to use!
I bought a refurbished hard drive of of LaCie's website because it was a lot cheaper. The first one the sent me didn't work, but they were quick about getting me a new one that did work!
I love the rugged look of this product, I'm not afraid to throw it in my bag or drop it. It's portable and you can carry it around with you. I think the size is great, I haven't filled it up yet! I really like the software that comes with it too. It's simple and gets the job done. I have a mac, so I appreciate the fact that this software is mac friendly because a lot of them aren't. I actually purchased a different hard drive that said it was compatible with OSX and then the fine print said that although it would work with a mac, the software wouldn't.
The folders are organized by date and it's really easy to navigate around in.
I think it's a pretty cheap product to ensure peace of mind with your data.
It does take a long time to back up your hard drive. I'm not sure how it compares to other devices, but mine takes a few hours.
