Great product, misleading advertising

The Bottom Line:
Great product, inaccurate product description.
They lied in their advertising. The unit only transmits at 1 watt, not 2 watts. 2 watts is required for talking 5 miles. Motorola Distance transmits 2 watts and claims 5 mile range, how can Garmin make the same claim while only transmitting at 1 watt? You won't find this out until you buy it and use it.
I used it hunting with two guys who had Motorola Distance Radios that only claim 5 mile range. The whole hunt I could hear them but they couldn't hear me.
The unit also claims to be able to transmit location to another Garmin unit. True, but only if you're in the FRS mode which only transmits at 0.5 watt (government restriction). So this real nice feature only works when you're close to someone, like close enough to yell at them. We'll that's not mentioned in the advertising for the product.
