Garmin Nuvi 680 Car GPS Receiver

I brought this item for my husband as a Christmas gift! I was originally going to purchase Garmin 750 because it was on sale at for 450.00 w/50.00 coupon at a local retailer, making it 400.00, but they were Out of Stock. Because I had called earlier to put one on hold, the manager honored my request by allowing me to purchase the Garmin 680 (orig. 750.00 and not on sale) for the same price as the Garmin 680.00. I chose Garmin over other brands becuase their navigational system is superior, you will not be disappointed. I was not really looking for all the extras. Well my husband absolutely loves all of the extras like the bluetooth, MSN Traffic, MP3 player. It also allows you to play your music through your car's speakers. Works great for hubby since his car does not have a CD player. You are able to save your favorite destinations whether it is a restaurant, bank, movie theatre. Also able to give you Movie Theatre times. The touch screen is the best, and the clarity of the screen is awesome. According to the sales rep, the 680 screen comes in clearer than the 750. One feateure that the Garmin 680 lacks(and the 750 has) is the multi-routing feature which allows you to enter all of your addresses you plan to go to in a day and will automatically map these for you based on te shortest route possible to save on gas.This can be an important tool for truck drivers who have to make several stops throughout a day. The Garmin 680 is definitely a must have item for a Sales Representative or anyone who travels frequently. Once you get one, you really cant imagine life w/o it (almost like a cell phone). It is so simple to use and are loaded w/updated maps. I did notice it did not recognize some of the newer developments in my area, so be cautious if you are traveling in area w/new construction an make sure you have the most recent maps which you can download on Garmin's website.
