Garmin Nuvi 205 don't turn on until you are ready to check for updates
Just got off the phone with garmin tec support. I got my garmin for Christmas. My husband evidently turned it on the day he bought it in December. Basic GPS that is only as smart as you are.
We received this as a gift, and it is a good entry-level basic GPS device. It is tricky when in large metropolitan areas, as it doesn't shift between suburbs as easily as higher-cost options. Great....But.
This unit has a bunch of great features. I just have 3 major issues with this.
First:The Documentation I received with the unit was very spotty and incomplete.Even the PDF file I downloaded from Garmin didn't fully explain all the features of the unit.

Pluses minuses
I brought the product over a year ago as a Christmas gift for myself and initially loved it. However, after using it for some time, the volume is shot, and no longer works. Good GPS
Really nice GPS system. We got a great price on it and it works well. It holds battery charge for a while. Only downside is sometimes it will be inaccurate about the location of a place.
