Garmin Nuvi 260W - 4.4 in. Car GPS Receiver

I bought my Garmin nuvi 260W on Amazon for $99.99 + free shipping and I find it a great GPS for everyday use.  Foremost the size of the screen, the 4.3-inch display makes a huge difference (I was used to 3.5") in seeing the area, points-of-interest, street names, etc.  Also, the quality of display is great as well -- sharp and clear.  The driving directions are clear and understandable and the maps are accurate.  I have been using this unit every day for more than two months and so far I have not experienced any erroneousdirections.   I also enjoy the simple design and simple controls of the screens which makes it easy to find any pertinent information such as turn list, distance, time, trip information.  The screen display might be customized and I found it relatively easy to do; generally it is rather user-friendly interface.  Other, less important, at least to me, features include: photo viewer and anti-theft lock.   I use these features seldom but it comes handy in some situations. 

Now, there are some flaws that have to be mentioned as well.   The most prominient is the issue of satellite acquisition.  It appears that it takes longer to acquire the satellite signal then with any other GPS.  This is very frustrating on short trips when one can reach the destination in a few minutes but one has to wait for the signal to be acquired.   Another issue is the text-to-speech voice quality.  It sounds unnatural and makes it irritating.  I could not get used to it and had to turn it off.  

Overall, a very good product for the price ($100).
