Very Cute Lil Camera :-)
Pros
Inexpensive, G.E, compact, sports mode, adapter to show on TV screen!
Cons
battery life-just buy a rechargeable unit, and zoom could be improved on
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
A NICE upgrade from my Kodak because the price doesn't revolve around $250 and the features are still plentiful!
My boyfriend bought me this camera for Christmas 2007. It was on or around $100 from Walmart from what he told me. Previously, I had the Kodak Easy Share 3.1 Mega pixel and was all I knew and adored it. I never knew General Electric made digital cameras too! This 8 Mega pixel has been alot of fun. General Electric is all around USER FRIENDLY merchandise. When I turned it on, I really liked the large screen it had. My other camera (Kodak) has half as large. There is sports mode, portrait mode, stabilization mode, children mode, night mode, fireworks mode (Fun! Finally you can take pictures of fireworks!), landscape mode, indoors (which I use the most, next to sports mode) and much more!!! I briefed the manual get the tedious details. There is a little happy face on the camera. When you press this, as you are ready to take a picture, the happy face will zoom into the person's face perfectly ensuring your shot is FOCUSED ON the person's face! Sports mode is a must because most of the things I take pictures of move around quite a bit! The zoom feature isn't the best. My Kodak could zoom up to 14x. Battery life is not all that. The only way to get around horrid battery life is to get the rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable units may cost $20 or so, but they will last you a good year or two!! Overall though, this camera is very cool.
