UPDATE May 26 2008: After sending my DVD recorder back to Toshiba twice, they decided to send me this year's model (number 560). Watch the Warranty
Plays all types of video files on all types of DVDs. Fairly easy to program for TV recording. Warranty is 1 yr parts and 90 days labor. After 120 days unit occasionally "forgets" TV record program.
