JVC HD-70FH96 70 in. HDTV D-ILA TV

As of this review (3-7-09), we've had this tv right at about 4 years.  In that time it has been in the shop at least 3 times for a variety of issues, but mostly the inability for the screen to stay on.  It will turn off and the blue power button will flash rapidly.  Last evening, we installed a new projection lamp (2nd one in 4 years - the first one was at about 2 months new).  The lamp corrected the issue stated above for last night, but today it has started all over again.  A call to the dealer that sold it to us stated that it could be the ballast.  They'll pick up the TV later today at a cost of $90 for pick-up, $50 to diagnose, not including the cost of the ballast.  They also stated that this tv is very expensive to work on. We paid $6000 years ago and the thought that we may need to replace is just disgusting!  That would mean 4 years of use has cost about $1125 per year!  You can be darned sure that we won't replace it with the same tv or even one that expensive ever again!  Oh, by the way... the picture, when it works, isn't that great.
