I actually bought the HLR5668W 56". Same chip, same picture, just without the pedestal.
When I started my research & discovered that the 1080p chip had just came out I was looking forward to saving a lot of cash on a 1080i, until I saw the two side by side. What a huge difference. The picture is so much clearer. The harsh outlines that are typical on so many other HiDef TV are gone. I was watching a football game on CBS, which seams to have the best picture & I was amazed. Crystal clear picture, life like, if they could add the smell you would think you were there. If you are in the LA area, the lowest price I found is at electroline4u.com. Over $600 savings.
