The Bottom Line:
If you can wait for something better I would.
I've had this phone since June 2008. Before this I had the 6600. I liked the 6600 except that it was like carrying a brick. The 6900 is much smaller, but so is the screen. I like that these both were touch screens, run Windows CE, have SD card slots, and removable batteries. I don't like that the 6900's DOES NOT have a physical keyboard, so you are forced to use the small touch screen. My fingers aren't giant, but not small enough for this phone. To boot, there are glitches with the software (Not sure if HTC or Microsoft is to blame) If you have more than one John in your contact data base and you type John and then you hit the space bar in an attempt to type Doe the software will immediately select the first John you have in your contact database! So if each of your friends have different names you should be fine! LAME! The work around is to type JohnD then go back and put a space in and the type John Do and you'll be able to select John Doe. The other glitch is "Touch Keyboard" DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY! Key #1 is qw #2 is er #3 is ty, if you hit key #1 twice you will get two q's not w. Useless! I was told a software upgrade would be available soon, but I've yet to see it.
Camera quality is so-so, and can't hold a candle to the images that friends have emailed me from their early 2008 iPhones. There is also no Built-in GPS functionality.
