Freeze up after a minute or so. Zero customer service

Needing a water resistant low cost, light weight GPS for a long distance trekking trip, the iFinderGo seemed to give the more bang for the buck.
Out of the box, it was "stuck" in factory testing mode. Calls and emails to customer service were not returned.
A trip back to the store eventually solved the problem (the clerk used some undocumented procedure to reset the unit in proper mode).
Using the device for anything more than basic lat-long position acquisition would constantly result in a freeze-up condition. Only batteries removal would reset the GPS.
