Good deal for the cost
Pros
Low Cost, Records a large number of waypoints & trails, good battery life.
Cons
No computer interface cable available. Small screen size.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Good unit for low cost, if computer interface is not needed.
This is my first gps unit, and it seems to work very well. I had problems with the first unit I had, but the replacement unit has been fine. It keeps a good lock even under heavy tree cover, and I have used it in the car with a vent mounted cell phone holder, which works well most of the time.
The menu system is not the easiest to follow, but it gets the job done. My biggest concern with it is the small screen size. However, the performance is quite good.
The first Ifinder Go I had worked ok for about 2 months (it would occasionally lock up, require the batteries to be pulled to reset it), and then began to take a long time to lock onto the satellites, and was getting very slow to respond. Finally one day it locked up entirely, and would not get past the startup logo. I contacted Lowrance via phone, and they gave me an address to return it to. About a week later I received a new unit, with a note of a software upgrade being needed on the old one. The new unit has been working fine for about 3 months.
