Lowrance's iFinderGo(16MB) is a stripped down version of their iFinder line of handheld GPS receivers. It lacks the ability to communicate with other electronics or to save, read and store data on MMCs. It lacks an external antenna. However,it has virtually all the other features. I learned this from browsing Lowrance's free online advanced users' guides available for all their products. I bought this unit primarily for plotting fishing spots on my local reservoir during drawdowns and while actually on the water. I don't expect to need cacheing capabilities. I have used it and found it very satisfactory for my needs. It has better than advertized battery life, too. I no longer hunt, but I have used it to locate specific points in conjunction with (paper)topo maps just fine. I suspect this 16MB version is slower than the others, but it has fine features too. I am going to upgrade to another Lowrance product, but only because I want computer mapping capability and a larger screen.
