Worth the price, but not much more
Pros
What these lack in quality they make up in size. And Cheap!
Cons
Serious and consistent manufacturing flaws.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Great for reading or moderate computer usage. Not recommended for gaming or the pefectionist.
From time to time, I build computers for customers with unique requirements. Recently, a customer approached me looking for the option to have (4) approximately 30" monitors in order to better watch stock market data. Given the price differential, the I INC seemed like the obvious choice over the Dell 30".
All four arrived from tigerdirect for $399 each, with the packaging intact and the assembly required about 3-4 minutes each.
Monitor 1: 1 dead pixel
Monitor 2: 2 dead pixels
Monitor 3: Significantly lighter/whiter area in the monitor about the size of a fist
Monitor 4: No noticeable flaws.
No working speakers in any of them
All of this aside, for the price, these are the cats meow, if you're not looking for perfect. The max resolution, at 1920x1200 is sufficient, and the image quality if reasonable. The few dead pixels are hardly a detraction, and aside from my customer, very few would consider flat panel monitor speakers adequate even in perfect working order.
It doesn't say much for the QC at the factory, but there couldn't be real strict controls in place and still get away with this pricing.
The blacks are a dark grey with scattered snowy spots, and there does seem to be some motion blurring, so these would not be my choice for gaming. For standard web usage or stock reviews, these are more than reasonable.
