Mine broke

Pros Good sound, looks, price and features.
Cons Mine broke and will took 2 weeks to repair, remote kinda cheesy
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Good AVR if it doesn't break
(4-4-02 UPDATE: received unit last week from repair shop, and has been fully repaired. Glad to have it back and happy again. It was 2 components on the "secondary board" which were replaced, a resistor and a capacitor as I recall.)

First the good:

This AVR looks and sounds really nice, and comes at a good price for a good brand. The 45 watts really sound good, like the unit is put together and designed well.

I also like that it remembers settings and levels for each individual input.

However...

Mine developed a problem, namely that it would shut off within a moment of being turned on. It only does this some of the time. I tried calling their tech support, and it was not a shorted speaker wire like they suspected. We tried many fixes to no avail.

I had to take it to a shop (which was a really dirty, grimy shop in a not-so-nice neighborhood in Dallas) and the repair guy said it would be a few weeks. I hope he can fix it, as intermittent problems can be tough.

I bought my unit refurbished from harmanaudio.com for about $285 and now I have nothing. Will post a follow-up when it's all over.
