The Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a good surround sound system, and want something to build your system around, this is a good place to start.
We got this receiver when we signed up for 3 yrs of an online service ($400 store credit at the store) it makes movies sound great! Especially DTS coded DVD's but it still brings VHS to life. Even The Simpsons are in surround sound!
It takes a while to get it set-up right, then a bit more to get it configured the way that you like it.
The remote is quite involved.. and can do more than the controls on the front of the unit. It takes 2 AAA batteries (included, but dead) despite the fact that the book says that it takes 3.
It is a classy unit, and looks and sounds great.
