great 5.1 receiver
Pros
Top notch sound quality, attractive styling
Cons
None.
Recommended it?
Yes
The great thing about h/k is you can get the same great sound from their base model that you can from their upper tier.
The thd on this thing is an immaculate less than 0.07% !!!
It's hard to find anything lower. what that means is that you get crystal clear sound with no distortion no matter how high you crank it. Don't let its low wattage fool you, h/k makes highly efficient discreet circuitry amplifiers, it doesn't need a lot of power to provide exceptional sound quality. Another thing that gives Harmon Kardon its edge is its physical beauty. In a land of big black hulking monstrosities, its brushed aluminum finish and pretty blue lights are a welcome relief.
Overall by combining aesthetic design with superior sound quality, Harmon Kardon provides a top of the line receiver at a reasonable price.
