Harman Kardon has been very moderate in describing the AVR130. The 130 definintely sounds a lot more powerful than the rated 55 watts (stereo mode); bought it after 2 months of reviewing the internet. I would rate it as the best- looking receiver in its class and presently use it with the JBL E50. The AVR130 seems to sound better(especially bass ) at higher volumes (-30 db on the AVR)although its still crispy clear at lower volumes.
If you have a small-to-medium sized room, this is definitely one of your best picks.
