I bought this receiver wholesale at Tweeter when I worked there for $350 bucks. Its very stylish and sleek design set it apart, but don't let its looks fool you. I am a certified audiophile, and it passed every test I threw at it. With efficient speakers and a great Sub woofer it will meet or exceed your power requirements. Reminds me of my good 'ol Marantz 2226 receiver for analog recordings. Its Logic 7 fields are unique to HK and sound better than DD and DTS for most movies. Mated to a great DVD player like a Panasonic, yes Panasonics rock for audio and Picture quality! Try one and you'll never spend over $100 for a DVD player again. And its 5.1 channel inputs are great for DVD audio which is mastered this way. Find one and keep it, you won't be disappointed, the only thing equal is a Sony ES receiver or a more powerful HK, but will cost twice as much and will sound the same. email me with questions, I would be happy to help, monteez8084@yahoo.com
