Great entry level AVR!

Pros Great Sound, Looks great, (Blue LED matches my Satellite Box :) ! )
Cons None so far...
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I hope this Harman Kardon will last forever, at least until technology throws it under the bus! No doubt, I would buy again.
I recently began updating my entertainment system, first a LCD TV, Up-converting DVD player, etc. As the world has moved on, my 15 year old Pioneer was getting out-dated. I wanted Dolby Digital 5.1 as well as DTS. But I also was pretty sure I didn't want to go the Theater-in-a-box route. I still like to rock out on Saturday night, and the little whimpy satellite speakers in these systems just ain't gonna cut it. I actually stumbled across this Harman Kardon in the local Pawn Shop. I never go to pawn shops, must have been destiny! Having looked at Harman products in the past, (when I had no $$$$!), I was always impressed. I made a deal to take this baby home and run her through the paces for 48 hours. Hooked this baby up to my Jensen main floor speakers with 15's, Bose 201 for rears and a DCM center. After a brief set-up, I'm in love! This receiver far outperforms my 100W Pioneer! Crisp and clean, great surround, 5.1 and subwoofer output, it also auto detects the type of signal, whether Dolby Pro-Logic/Digital/DTS. I programmed my main remote to this device as well, which controls most main functions. (The HK remote is a little awkward,as said before. (Smallish on the bottom and hard to read function keys.) Many options for setup to customize your settings for a DVD player, Sat/Cable box, Game system, Etc. Would be nice to have more input/output options, but considering the age and price, it's OK.
If you want to get into great sounding home audio at a reasonable price, this is the unit for you!
