I was looking for a good brand name cd-player when I came across the Harman Kardon FL8380, it had all the characteristics I was looking for 5 disc, remote, digital output, good brand name. One thing that made me bite my tounge on the purchase was the price.

Harman Kardon under $30!
I reacently picked one of these at a good will for $29.99. For this price it is a very good unit. I am satisfied with the sound, but it is indeed a bit clunky. I have heard horror stories about reliability, but I am hoping for the best. Read full review »
Sorry, but it's junk
I hate to read negative reviews, but it's true. Had mine for less than two years before a very cheap gear part in the drive mechanism stripped.
