I just picked up a set of the HK 19.5's, and all I have to say is that the sound quality is crisp and true. I hear a lot of people whining that there are no indivual bass and treble controls...leave the tone knob on it's middle setting and tweak the EQ on your media player!
For a cheap set of PC speakers (I use them on a notebook), they provide crispness without being tinny and enough bass to make the low end audible, if not torso-thumping.
I do love the sleek appearance of the black/grey model.
In all, the complaints about the sound quality remind me of Formula drivers complaining about the drag coefficient on a Yugo. These speakers excel at their simple purpose, which is to provide above average (by PC satellite standards) sound to your desktop. They do not compete with my Bose home stereo speakers, but they aren't designed to. Plus, the Bose set costs upwards of $1000, and I got the HK's on ebay for...ten bucks.
