Pros
Low price, decent receiver
Cons
It is a bit cheaply built.
Recommended it?
Yes
I just got a Harman-Kardon 3380, after my 3480 pooped out.
I was surprised to find that the case is almost identical to the higher powered model.
I opened up the 3480, and discovered that it's not easy to work on. There are perhaps 8 circuit boards spread in many places, connected together with little bitty plugs.
The 3380 is just fine for me. I don't miss the extra 40 watts from the 3480 (3380 is 80 watts, 3480 is 120), and I really don't miss the intermittent nature of the latter.
All in all it sounds very good to me, and I've probably had 50 stereo installations in my life. I suspect that most of the specs, other than the power amp, are very, very similar
between the two units.
I hope this is of some help to someone. If you're into really loud music, I don't think you'd want either of these units, but for symphonic and chamber music, they're dandy
