The Harman Kardon AVR 430 is one powerhouse of a receiver. Don't let the 65 watts per channel rating fool you. It can easily best receivers claiming twice that. My room is about 15' by 13', and the 430 doesn't have any problem at all at filling the room with near cinema level sound.

Pros Easy Set SPL for setting levels on surround speakers
Cons Remote can be hard to use with all the very small buttons.

I purchased this unit from Harman Kardons web site on Ebay. It may still be available on Harmanaudio.com as well. The price was incredible ($445) and I've owned Harman Kardon equipment before.
