The Bottom Line:
Great Price, Great Sound, Quality Product, What are you waiting for?
I dont condisder myself a real audiophile, but I do know the difference between good and bad sounding speakers, and these are definately some of the best sounding computer speakers that you can get for the price.
I read some other reviews on the web, and decided upon these after I found them at www.erwincomp.com for $78 (including shipping). I really didnt pay attention to the size of them when I looked at the pictures of them on the web. I pulled them out of the box. The sub was the size that I expected, but when I pulled out these little 4"x2" sattelites, I thought that I had just been ripped off. I took them and set them up, put on some music, and my jaw dropped. These speakers do not sound like they are this small. They produce great highs, very amazing mids for the ~1" drivers that are in them, and a very nice low-range that compliments everything, which is absolutely amazing for a set of computer speakers with this small of a footprint. I really have no complaints about them, except for maybe having a knob for the sound instead of buttons, but that doesnt really bother me, I just use the sound in XMMS anyway.
If you are looking for the best sounding (not neccessarily the loudest) speakers on the block, give these a try. JBL Speakers have always been quality products, and these are no exception.
