Lots of features and takes up little space. Color copies are very good quality.

The Bottom Line:
It seems to work fine for my home office.
I have a home office and have a copier, Hp Laser printer, fax machine, and scanner - all separate pieces which takes up a lot of space. I purchased the HP 7210 about a year ago at Office Depot because I wanted an all-in-one and I'm so glad I did. It takes up little space on my desk return, works great, I can scan and email a document or fax it to someone very easily by just selecting the buttons on the front of the printer. I use the color copying a lot for fliers which I couldn't do on my old copier and the quality is excellent.
I had an easy installation but I also have an HP computer so don't know if that makes a difference. It also runs fine with Norton Anti Virus running at the same time. I read that others had a problem with this but I didn't. I cannot stack my checks in the tray like I did on my other HP professional printer but have to load the pages one by one which is more time consuming but still better than handwriting them. The paper feed on the automatic top feeder is probably in need of some service because it doesn't always pull the paper right away without giving it a little push.
HP sent me a new printer about three months after buying it because they had a problem with the feeder. They were very nice on the phone. I have had no other problems with it except that I go through the cartridges about every two months. I print out a lot of fliers so I write the date on the cartridges so I know how long they last. The good news is that if you return them to Office Depot they will give you a free ream of copier paper or $3.00 off your next purchase. I found that the recycled Office Depot cartridges which are only $1-$2 cheaper than HP don't last as long and sometimes get clogged early on. However, I've had good luck with Office Depot replacing them free of charge. I think for the price, this is a really good machine that has the HP support on line and by phone. It does reductions and lighter/darker copies and has an auto feeder which is what I wanted for sending large documents. I do my envelopes on it too by slipping them one by one on top of the stacked paper. They come out great!
