HP Mini: Big Things Can Come in Small Packages
Pros
Inexpensive.
Cons
For those that need to burn CD's or DVD's, this computer does not have one.
Recommended it?
Yes
This Hewlett Packard Mini Netbook is proof that big things can come in small packages. Although the netbook features only a 10.1" wide screen and weighs only 2.9 pounds, it has all of the capabilities of a regular laptop with the exception of a CD/DVD drive. For those that are used to carrying USB memory sticks, the absence of the CD/DVD drive does not cause any significant inconvenience. As a matter of fact, from a personal standpoint, the portability of this netbook outweighs any inconvenience that may arise.
HP states that the Mini Netbook is not meant to be used as a standalone computer but rather as a compliment. For the record, I use the netbook as a standalone and have yet to encounter any difficulties or inconvenience. Granted, I do not use my computer for heavy graphics or art nor do I use it for heavy word processing.
