The Bottom Line:
Don't buy it, use some extra money and put it towards a better brand name computer.
This is the second HP laptop that I have purchased, and it still disappoints me. It starts off fast and seems like a great computer, but really the more data you store the slower it gets. Honestly, Microsoft software is getting worse and it shouldn't have been put on this computer.
Another problem is the battery life. I've only had this computer for a year and HP health check is telling us to buy a new battery. I think we should get a free battery because of how poor the first one is.
The anti-virus software (Norton) it comes installed with requires you to pay ($60/year), seems to run the computer down and take away potential memory usage.
HP service isn't helpful with issues and that should be taken care of, but really scripted people from a different country can be frustrating, and it's nothing new these days.
On the good side, the appearance of the computer is nice and sleek. The keyboard is easy to use, no sticky keys and a wide touch pad. The paint is wearing off on the touch pad(not really sure why). Overall, it is nothing more than a basic needs computer.
I bought this computer to replace a Dell and another HP laptop, but I really wish I didn't give away my old HP. It runs faster and is easier to use. 320 GB sounds like a lot but when you start adding programs it slows down beyond belief. Even when I started deleting useless junk from the hard drive, it remained slow.
Unfortunately, as new as this computer is, I am currently looking for a replacement computer (preferably a Macintosh).
