The Bottom Line:  If you are bored and enjoy the challenge of spending hours with tech support attempting to fix an inferior product, by all means, buy this product.
HP sent me a Hewlett Packard Officejet Pro L7780 All-In-One InkJet Printer as a replacement for another all-in-one at the end of my five year warranty program, and I swear they knew this is a dud product.

I get a Printer Aligning message before AND after EVERY item I try to print.

It never aligns properly - I always get the message "alignment failed." Most of the time I press cancel when it starts aligning because it is wasting so much ink, paper and time, and eventually the doc I want prints out, and I hit cancel again before the next alignment page.

I have tried everything, including scanning the alignment page, replacing the low ink cartridge (which was the yellow,) spending an hour chatting with hp tech support following all their instructions, including removing all cartridges and wiping the connections with a moist lint-free cloth and reinserting, even unplugging the unit and plugging back in while holding the 6 and # keys simultaneously.

Nothing worked. This product is defective, and all hp wants to do is sell me a new one. I've had it less than six months and it's never been quite right since the day I got it. Now it's worse than ever and is probably destined for the scrap heap very shortly.

Besides the messed up printing, you can't scan from the unit itself; after you load the document you have to sit back down at your desk to launch the software and go through a ridiculously long procedure to do a simple scan and file it on the computer.
