Hewlett Packard 3200C Scanner

Pros It is a great investment and simple to use
Cons Adobe Photo Deluxe is not very advanced. I have Live Pix and it was better to fix up the pictures with.
Recommended it? Yes
In a search to find a quality scanner to purchase for my home office, I cam across many scanners. I did a lot of research through the internet including this site, and different stores around NYC which sell scanners and computer accessories.

My first option was Staples. Staples had the Hewlett Packard on sale for $89.97 but still wanted to expand my options to see what other scanners were available to me. I went to Sears which had the Canon 620ui also on sale for $89.99 but the Canon's were sold out at each Sear's I went to. I ended up purchasing the HP ScanJet 3400C Color Scanner because of what it had to offer.

The HP ScanJet 3400C Color Scanner comes with the scanner, instructions on how to connect it to your computer and how to install the software which is provided. It comes with a cd rom which includes HP PrecisionScan LT Scanning Software with OCR which is compatible for Caere. Also on the cd rom is Adobe Photo Deluxe which allows you to edit each picture which is scanned onto your computer. Also included in the package is a parallel cord which you attach to the computer where the printer goes so you can attach the printer to the scanner and a power cord.

This scanner allows you to scan easily good quality photos onto your computer. It has 600 DPI Optical Resolution; 600 x 1200 DPI Hardware Resolution. It is 9600 enhanced for a maximum document sizer of 8.5' x 11.7" This scanner is also compatible for any PC with Pentium (586&up) or equivalent processor, Windows 95 or 98 with a 16MB Ram or more, Cd-Rom Drive, or VGA Monitor.

If you need help processing the HP ScanJet 3200C Color Scanner, you can get 24 hour help on the internet and it is simple to use. It can save you a lot of money. For instance, instead of paying $.40 a minute a Kinkos, you will be paying once for the scanner. It is a great investment and I definately recommend purchasing the HP ScanJet 3200c Color Scanner.
